As a result of experience gained working on construction sites the Directors of SDS Consulting emphasise the importance of delivering value engineering solutions.
The construction process should be a collaboration between all stakeholders. Working as a part of the team we aim to provide:
High standards of engineering design and detailing
Information supply on time and to budget
Testimony to our success is our continued growth founded upon repeat instructions and referrals.
Our ambition is to provide:
Technical excellence, buildable solutions, information delivery on time, high presentation standards
“Any fool can make something complicated. It takes a genius to make something simple” Woody Guthrie
The best engineering solution is often the simplest, however what may be percieved as a simple solution does not always work. Our role at SDS Consulting is to ensure that we produce solutions that work and are as simple as possible.
“Civil Engineering is all about helping people and shaping the world. It’s the work that civil engineers do to make our life easier” Institution of Civil Engineers
Whether its highways or drainage, we endeavour to provide well designed engineered civil infrastructure to ensure free flow of transport and waste water.
“Architects design spaces - Structural Engineers design the structure to make the spaces possible”
SDS Consulting endeavours to work sympathetically with the Architect and the Client to ensure that the vision for a space is achieved.
“The accidental death of a building is always due to the failure of its skeleton, the structure” extract from “Why Buildings Fall Down” by Matthys Levy and Mario Salvadori.
As structural engineers we design structures to safely resist the force of gravity, whilst at the same time allowing for other dynamic forces such as wind or impact, that could otherwise activate the effect of gravitational pull.
