Lee Bampfield

Managing Director | BEng(Hons)

When I left school, having worked with my father who was a builder, I trained and qualified as a joiner. In 2001 I changed path and commenced my career in structural engineering. I studied at the University of the West of England via day release, and was awarded a first class honours degree. I have continuously developed my technical capability, overseeing the implementation of design software and standards within our business as Technical Director for many years and subsequently taking over as Managing Director in April 2021. I endeavor to ensure that our consultancy provides cost effective solutions that are both technically excellent and practical, with a service that exceeds the industry’s usual standard.

Mark Dyer

Civil Engineering Director | Bsc(Hons)

I started my civil engineering career by chance in 2004 by accepting a technician job at a leading plastic drainage company. I continued on the technical and academic progression within drainage design by joining a multinational company where I finalised my day release study to obtain a Civil Engineering First Class Honours degree from the University of the West of England. I spent time at a design consultancy developing drainage and highway design capabilities for a wide range of clients on a number of housing and commercial developments from concept through to inception.

I joined SDS Consulting to develop the civil engineering capabilities and expand our portfolio of clients and projects providing drainage and highway design capabilities. I ensure that the civils works that our consultancy provide are buildable, cost effective and technically practical. I aim to achieve a high standard of work that clients recognise and therefore return to SDS Consulting for future works.
